LIGHTS, CAMERA, BUT NO ACTION
Personality Hotels Launches Contest for Writers on Strike

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - In lieu of the current writers strike, Personality Hotels has decided to tap into this unused talent pool by launching a special contest: Send them an idea for a hotel sitcom series, and the winning concept could be the next hit on a special YOUTUBE series that Personality Hotels is planning to launch.

Yes, they're serious. Who else but Personality Hotels could come up with something like this? Personality Hotels plans to soft launch the project in first quarter 2008 and market the new show on the Internet and to its existing client base. The new Personality Hotels YOUTUBE series will be bi-weekly and filmed in a local San Francisco production studio.

No, Personality Hotels can't promise to pay these out-of-work writers, but they can promise the winner a complimentary two-night stay in any of their six fabulous San Francisco boutique hotels including Hotel Diva, Kensington Park Hotel, Hotel Union Square, Hotel Metropolis, The Maxwell Hotel and York Hotel. And even better, for those writers screaming "I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!" (think Peter Finch in the 1976 movie "Network")the winning writer will get to release his/her frustrations by throwing a television out the window of Hotel Union Square. In addition, the winner will also enjoy a "director's lunch" with the Personality Hotels' President and CEO, Yvonne Lembi-Detert.

All applications must be submitted to queendiva@personalityhotels.com no later than November 21, 2007. Entries must be no more than 500 words. The gift certificate for the two-night stay is valid through January 31, 2008, subject to availability.

For more information and questions about the contest, contact queendiva@personalityhotels.com. For reservations at Personality Hotels, call 800.553.1900 or visit www.personalityhotels.com.
