Hotel Diva is Fit for a Queen
by
"Single in Sin City"
What you can expect from a hotel while on vacation has changed over the years as often as Paris changes her butlers, or is that her dogs? Really Paris, come on! But few hotels can say that they started the actual cliches: mint on the pillow, the "do not disturb" doorknob sign, room service, continental breakfast, condom in the safe - oops that's not standard... yet.
Yes, I said a condom in the safe, but you won't find it in a safe at the Marriott. It's just one of the unique and universal standards at the sexy and sleek Hotel Diva - should I say Diva Friendly? - just on e of the exclusive hotels offered by Personality HOtels in the heart of San Francisco where yours respectfully, "Single in Sin City," recently stayed.
In this modern and aware age, safe sex is as important as free wireless Internet access, also standard at Hotel Diva. The property is located right within the heart of San Francisco, directly across from two of the cities most acclaimed performing arts theaters, the Curran Theatre and the American Conservatory Theatre.
The ultra-modern Hotel Diva not only offers a convenient location for the sightseer in you, but also a peaceful, yet chic getaway after a tiring tour through Alcatraz, where you can re-enact your Oz fantasies. You can retreat to a hot shower in a sleek and unique bathroom with invigorating toiletries from Essential Elements, one of Australia's premier skin care lines, then catch up on your e-mails on your laptop while lying on the most luxurious bedding.
Make reservations for after your "Diva" shopping at Gucci, Tiffany's, Prada, and Hermes (okay, i just browsed), at Colibri's, because the food is that good. It's directly next door to Hotel Diva. Ask for the handmade to order, fresh guacamole (they actually come to your table and make it for you). With fresh tortillas and an additional three different salsas, this appetizer is enough for two to three people (note to self: bring Oz fantasy candidates). Then follow with the Filet Mignon with crumbled blue cheese, on a bed of the fluffiest garlic mashed potatoes, drizzled with a roasted garlic and chipotle chile sauce that will curl your tongue and have you begging for more. End with a cocktail of choice at the bar. I recommend a Colibri's specialty, the Caipirinha.
Nightlife is just around the corner. Where to even begin doesn't matter. You can walk or take a $5 to $10 cab ride to anywhere worth going to, to be your diva self. Then return with your catch of the day from that "Rock" by the San Francisco Bay, and make sure to go to the safe before you play. Who says being single can't be fun?
